- More Info:
- Order from one polo; use the size breakdown for a team order.
- Share your original artwork for conversion into an embroidery stitch file. Confirm artwork preparation and any related charges before ordering.
- Confirm the number of thread colors and their availability before finalizing a multicolor design.
- Label the thread color for each design element and approve any color substitutions.
- Flat embroidery works well for logos, lettering and simple graphics.
- Ask for garment care instructions before washing; follow the label on the delivered shirt.
- Screen previews are a guide: fabric and thread colors can look different in person.
- Confirm current garment and thread color availability before production.
- File requirements:
- Prepare artwork at the intended embroidery size, at least 300 dpi, in CMYK. Use PDF, PNG, JPG or TIFF. Confirm the chest decoration dimensions before building the file.
- Thread colors:
- Identify the color for each design element. Confirm available threads, color count and any close-match substitutions before production.
- Background:
- Use a transparent background where the design should show the shirt fabric. A white background can be interpreted as part of the artwork; PNG supports transparency.
- Digitization:
- Send original artwork for review before sending a pre-digitized stitch file. Confirm stitch-file requirements and any artwork preparation charges with our team.
- Design requirements:
- Use simple shapes and solid colors. Simplify photographs, shadows and gradients; avoid intricate details and fine lines.
- Lettering:
- Use bold, open lettering. As a design starting point, aim for letters at least 0.25 in tall and strokes at least 0.05 in thick; final suitability depends on the font and stitch design. Simple sans serif lettering is easier to reproduce than small scripts.
- Fonts:
- Convert lettering to outlines in your PDF to preserve its appearance.
- Stitch density:
- Have dense or complex designs reviewed for stitch feasibility before ordering. Confirm the stitch-count limit for your design with our team.
- Contrast:
- Choose thread colors that stand out against the selected polo color.
- Available sizes:
- X-Small, Small, Medium, Large, X-Large, 2X-Large, 3X-Large
Enter a quantity for each size; the breakdown must equal your total order quantity. Contact us for current garment measurements and fit guidance before choosing sizes.
- Bleed:
- Bleed is not required for chest embroidery; the 0.125 in bleed used for trimmed print products does not apply to these polos.
- Artwork dimensions:
- Build at the intended stitched size. Confirm the usable left or right chest area and sizing across the garments in your order before finalizing artwork.
- Safe zone:
- Keep the full design within the confirmed embroidery area, clear of the collar, placket and seams. Confirm placement with our team.
- Resolution:
- At least 300 dpi at the intended embroidery size.
- Color mode:
- CMYK artwork; identify your preferred solid thread colors separately for confirmation.
- File formats:
- PDF, PNG, JPG or TIFF. Use PNG for transparent raster artwork and outline fonts in PDF files.
- File size:
- Use the upload limit shown when submitting your artwork. Contact our team if your file cannot be uploaded.
- Proof review:
- Upload artwork after checkout. We review your file and send a digital proof for approval before production. Confirm placement, size and thread colors; artwork revisions can affect the schedule.
Ask for a production estimate that includes artwork review and approval. Confirm preparation charges and the proof schedule before ordering.
Confirm chest embroidery dimensions and placement with our team before preparing final artwork. This page does not provide a downloadable polo production template.
Prepare the artwork at its intended stitched size with a transparent background wherever fabric should remain visible. Check the File Setup and Embroidery Guidelines tabs for resolution, color, fonts and file formats.
You approve a digital proof before production. Ask our designers for help preparing artwork for the selected chest placement.
