Frequently Asked Questions

What sizes can I choose for greeting cards?

There are thirteen folded sizes, from 3" x 3" to 5.5" x 8.5". Popular choices include 4.25" x 5.5", 4" x 6" and 5" x 7". The listed size is the closed card size; your artwork must account for the full open card.

Why print my greeting cards with Minute Marketing?

Choose your size, paper and inside printing in one order form, then review your artwork in the proof. If you need help with a layout or paper choice, our team can talk through the options with you.

How can I make my own greeting cards?

Upload your own artwork or ask our design team to create a layout with your photos, logo and wording. Choose the folded size, orientation, paper and quantity. Decide whether the inside will be blank, grayscale or full color. Prepare the outside and inside at the open size, upload your files and review the proof before approving the artwork.

Can I request greeting card paper samples?

Request a free sample kit to compare papers and finishes. Ask our team about availability if you want to see a particular greeting card stock.

How much do greeting cards cost?

The total depends on size, paper, inside printing and quantity. The order page shows sample pricing as you choose options. These are mock prices for the current catalog preview.

Are greeting card design templates available?

The occasion galleries show printed design examples rather than downloadable templates. Use them to describe a style to our design team, then share your wording, artwork and preferred size through Design Services.

Which greeting card papers are available?

Choose 14 pt. Gloss, 14 pt. Uncoated, 100 lb. Gloss Cover, 100 lb. Matte Cover, 13 pt. Premium Linen, 16 pt. Premium Matte, 18 pt. Premium Kraft, 18 pt. Ultra Premium Pearl or 18 pt. Ultra Premium Smooth White.

Which paper should I choose for my greeting cards?

Choose an uncoated stock if you plan to write a note. Gloss suits colorful cover artwork, while matte has less shine. Linen adds texture, kraft has a brown background and pearl adds shimmer. Compare samples before choosing a paper for a large order.

How should I prepare greeting card files?

Build the outside and inside at the full open size, with the fold at the center. For example, a vertical 5" x 7" card opens to a 10" wide x 7" high spread. Extend backgrounds 0.125" beyond each outer trim edge, and keep text at least 0.125" inside the trim and clear of the fold. Use 300 dpi CMYK artwork in PDF, PNG, JPG or TIFF, and embed or outline fonts in PDFs. Check panel direction for your chosen orientation.

How do safe areas, trim and bleed affect the design?

Downloadable marked templates are not available for this product. In your own layout, the trim line marks the finished edge. Bleed extends the background beyond that line so it reaches the edge after cutting. Keep text and logos inside the safe area, away from both trim and fold. Review these areas and the front, back and inside panel positions in your proof.

How long does greeting card printing take?

Contact our team to confirm current production timing before ordering, especially for a birthday, holiday or other fixed date. Allow time for artwork preparation, proof review and shipping. This catalog preview does not confirm a delivery date.

Greeting Cards for Personal Messages

Keep folded cards ready for birthdays, holidays, weddings, thank-you notes, a change of address or a grand opening. Put your artwork on the cover and leave the inside open for a handwritten thank-you, or print the greeting inside for a company holiday mailing. Match the card size and paper to the way you plan to use it.

Choose Your Folded Size

Thirteen sizes include small 3" x 3" notes, familiar 5" x 7" cards and larger 5.5" x 8.5" cards. Square and rectangular options are available. All listed dimensions describe the closed card, so check the open layout when preparing your file.

Compare Nine Paper Stocks

Choose a lighter 100 lb. cover or a thicker stock up to 18 pt. Gloss, matte and uncoated papers suit different uses. Linen, kraft and pearl change the texture or background of the design, so consider how your colors will look on the paper you select.

Plan the Inside and Outside

Print the outside in full color with a blank inside, a grayscale inside or a full-color inside. Keep the fold clear of important text and check that each panel faces the correct direction. A blank uncoated interior leaves space for a personal message. Upload PDF, PNG, JPG or TIFF artwork at 300 dpi in CMYK, and review the digital proof before approval.

Finish with a Coordinated Envelope

Envelopes are a separate purchase. Choose one to fit the folded card, then coordinate the return address and artwork with your card design. Our design team can build a layout around your photos, logo and message. The occasion and holiday galleries offer starting ideas. If you need help with a size or layout, contact our team before approving your files.
