- Paper and Coating Notes:
- Cover means card stock; book or text paper is generally lighter.
- C2S identifies stock coated on both sides; the additional UV coating is a separate order choice.
- Gloss surfaces reflect more light; uncoated surfaces give a softer appearance.
- Use an uncoated, lightly printed area for handwriting. UV-coated areas are unsuitable for writing or overprinting.
- Avoid large areas of heavy, dark ink on uncoated paper to reduce the risk of ink transfer.
- Proofs:
- A digital proof for every order. Nothing prints until you approve it.
- Delivery:
- Local pickup or shipping. Rates and any sales tax are calculated at checkout.
- More Info:
- Gloss produces a brighter surface; matte gives a quieter look. Triple-layer papers add a colored center and soft-touch velvet feel.
- For appointment cards and handwritten notes, choose 14 pt uncoated and leave writing areas clear of heavy ink.
- Choose recycled brown kraft for natural fibers, linen for a woven texture or pearl for a subtle shimmer.
- UV gloss protects the printed surface but cannot be written or printed over. Use front-only gloss when the reverse needs a different surface; sheen and color brightness can differ between sides.
- For gloss cards, apply UV only to color-printed sides. Blank and grayscale backs should remain free of high-gloss UV.
- Paper and finish selections can affect available quantities. Confirm the combination before placing a large order.
- For a familiar everyday card, start with a standard rectangle on 14 pt gloss, printed in full color on both sides.
- Raised UV and foil build contrast over selected elements. They are available on 16 pt Premium Matte, with raised elements kept inside the trim.

- Bleed:
- Extend backgrounds 0.125" beyond each trim edge. Standard artwork with bleed is 2.25" x 3.75"; Slim is 2" x 3.75"; Mini is 2" x 3.25". Swap the dimensions for the other orientation.
- Safe Zone:
- Keep text and logos at least 0.125" inside the trim line. For rounded corners, also keep important details away from the curved corner cuts.
- Resolution:
- 300 dpi at the final printed size.
- Color Mode:
- Prepare print artwork in CMYK. Screen colors can differ from printed color.
- File Formats:
- Print-ready PDF preferred; PNG, JPG and TIFF are also accepted. Flatten image layers and embed or outline PDF fonts.
- File Size:
- Check the current per-file limit shown in the upload window. For an oversized two-sided file, upload the front and back separately.
- Printed Sides:
- Supply one page per printed side. For two-sided cards, use a two-page PDF in front-then-back order, or upload the front and back separately.
- Rounded Corners:
- Supply rectangular artwork with the same 0.125" bleed. Do not draw a cut line into the printed design; all four corners are trimmed to a 1/4" radius after printing.
- Proof:
- Review the instant proof for cropping, orientation, spelling and front/back placement. Approve your artwork before printing; contact our team if you need help checking the file.
- Raised UV and Foil:
- Supply a separate black-and-white mask for the raised areas, aligned to the color artwork. Keep raised details away from trim edges and request a file check before production.
- PDF Proof:
- Request a manually reviewed PDF proof from our team. We check dimensions and file setup, contact you about corrections and send a proof for your approval before printing. Confirm current availability when ordering.

- Use the short dimension first for vertical layouts and the long dimension first for horizontal layouts. Include bleed on every side.
- Rounded Corner Layouts:
- Use a rectangular file with 0.125" bleed, leaving extra space around the curved corner cuts. Keep text at least 0.125" inside the straight trim edges.
Build your document at the dimensions above, with trim and safe-zone guides that do not appear in the exported artwork. Use 300 dpi images and CMYK color, flatten image layers and embed or outline fonts. Export PDF, PNG, JPG or TIFF.
