- Greeting Card Envelope Size Chart:
Envelopes are purchased separately. A2, A6, A7 and 6 × 9 are in our envelope catalog. For every size, allow insertion room beyond the folded card dimensions and confirm the fit with our team. Square cards also need an envelope larger than the closed card.Folded card (inches) Envelope fit guidance 3 × 4 Inside space at least 3.125 × 4.125 3.5 × 4.75 Inside space at least 3.625 × 4.875 4 × 5.5 A2; inside space at least 4.125 × 5.625 4 × 6 A6; inside space at least 4.125 × 6.125 4.25 × 6 A6; inside space at least 4.375 × 6.125 4.5 × 6.25 A6; inside space at least 4.625 × 6.375 5 × 7 A7; inside space at least 5.25 × 7.25 5.5 × 8.5 6 × 9; inside space at least 5.75 × 8.75 - Proofs:

- More Info:
- Choose Half Fold and prepare two panels per spread. Confirm folding requirements with our team before ordering; listed sizes describe the closed card.
- Envelopes are sold separately. Check the folded size against the envelope's usable inside space.
- Gloss adds shine to photo covers. Matte gives a quieter surface; uncoated paper has a natural feel.
- For handwritten messages, choose 14 pt. Uncoated and leave the writing area free of printed ink. Test your pen on a sample.
- A glossy surface can resist pens and overprinting. Ask about suitability before planning handwritten notes on gloss stock.
- Kraft's brown background and pearl's shimmer change how artwork appears. Avoid relying on a screen preview for the final paper appearance.
- Use the quantities and papers shown in the order form. This product has no selectable UV coating, raised print or foil finish.
- Cover is card stock; book and text describe lighter paper. Gloss reflects more light, while matte and uncoated surfaces have less shine.
- Keep heavy ink coverage away from handwritten areas on uncoated stock. Let the printed surface dry before writing and test for smudging.
- Check outside and inside panel direction with a folded paper mockup, then review spelling, trim, bleed and the fold in your proof.
All of our paper stocks are premium quality and printed in full color.

- Bleed:
- Extend backgrounds 0.125" beyond all outer trim edges. Do not add bleed between panels at the center fold.
- Resolution:
- Use 300 dpi images at the full open print size.
- Color mode:
- Prepare color artwork in CMYK. Choose blank, grayscale or full-color inside printing to match your files.
- File formats:
- Send a print-ready PDF, or PNG, JPG or TIFF. Embed or outline PDF fonts and flatten transparency and layers in image files.
- Safe zone:
- Keep text and logos at least 0.125" inside the outer trim and at least 0.125" away from the fold on both panels.
- Open size and fold:
- Build each printed side as a complete open spread with a centered half fold. A vertical 5" × 7" card uses a 10" wide × 7" high spread; a horizontal 7" × 5" card uses a 7" wide × 10" high spread, before bleed.
- Panel direction:
- Supply an outside spread containing the front and back covers, plus a separate inside spread when printing inside. Fold a paper mockup to check that all panels face the right way.
- Proof review:
- Review the digital proof for spelling, panel order, orientation and the fold before approval. Ask our team about file or upload problems and current timing; no instant proof or fixed proof turnaround is promised.
Use the Sizes table in Product Details to find the open trim dimensions. Add bleed after arranging the panels. Match the file to the selected orientation rather than rotating individual panels by guesswork.
- Size and orientation:
- The Product Details size table lists all thirteen folded and open sizes. Use the open trim dimensions for either orientation, arranging width and height for the direction of the fold.
- Artwork preparation:
- Add 0.125" outer bleed and mark a safe area at least 0.125" inside trim and away from the center fold. Use 300 dpi CMYK artwork in PDF, PNG, JPG or TIFF; embed PDF fonts and flatten image layers.
- Design examples:
- The occasion and holiday galleries show style examples for custom design help. Downloadable size templates and an online template editor are not available for this product. Share your photos, logo and wording with our design team if you need a layout.
- Folded size:
- The selected size describes the closed card. Build the artwork at the full open size, with the fold centered.
- Open layout:
- A vertical 5" x 7" card opens to a 10" wide x 7" high spread. A horizontal 7" x 5" card opens to a 7" wide x 10" high spread. Check the panel direction for your chosen orientation.
- Outside and inside:
- Prepare separate spreads for the outside and any printed inside. Check which outside panel becomes the front cover by folding a paper mockup.
- Bleed and safe area:
- Extend backgrounds 0.125" beyond the outer trim edges. Keep text and logos at least 0.125" inside the trim and clear of the center fold.
- Images and fonts:
- Use images at 300 dpi at their final size, prepare color artwork in CMYK and embed or outline fonts in your PDF.
- Envelopes:
- Envelopes are purchased separately. Check the envelope's inside dimensions against the closed card and allow room for insertion.
Review spelling, orientation, panel order and inside printing in your digital proof before approving the card for print.
