- Paper coating and UV finishing are separate choices. C1S has one coated face; C2S has two. A front-only UV finish can make the two faces look different in sheen and color.
- Additional Options:
- Quarter-inch rounded corners are available on compatible stocks. Select horizontal or vertical orientation to match your artwork.
- Mailing Orders:
- Choose front-only UV when the reverse needs addressing. Contact us to arrange direct mail or neighborhood mailing and confirm postal requirements.
- Natural Stock Variation:
- Kraft and pearl stocks can vary slightly in color and thickness.
- Proofs:
- A digital proof for every order. Nothing prints until you approve it.
- Delivery:
- Local pickup or shipping. Rates and any sales tax are shown before you pay.
- More Info:
- For invitations and announcements, put a photo and short headline on the front and the event details on the reverse.
- Use a postcard as a thank-you insert in a retail order, with a brief message and a way to contact your business.
- Choose silk for a gentle sheen, uncoated cover for a natural surface, or coated card with optional UV for a glossy presentation.
- Choose 18 pt. kraft for a brown paper backdrop and a rustic feel.
- Linen brings a woven texture to wedding suites; pearl adds a soft shimmer.
- Leave UV off the reverse when you need to write a note or address. An uncoated cover or the uncoated reverse of C1S is a useful starting point; test your pen or addressing method first.
- UV is selected separately from paper and printed sides. Check both settings before ordering; a blank reverse and a coated reverse are different choices.
- Front-only UV gives the front a reflective surface while the reverse has the selected paper's own finish. The faces may differ in perceived color and brightness.
- Quantity choices run from 50 to 100,000. Available runs can depend on the selected paper; confirm any special quantity with our team.
- Cover describes card stock rather than lighter text or book paper. Point values describe thickness; pound weights use a different measurement and are not direct thickness equivalents.
- Solid dark areas can show handling marks more clearly on uncoated paper. Compare a sample and use a lighter layout when a softer appearance suits your design.
- Glossy surfaces tend to make photos appear brighter; silk and uncoated surfaces give a more restrained appearance. Check the proof for content and placement, and use paper samples to compare feel.
- Raised UV and foil highlight selected parts of the artwork, creating a tactile contrast against 16 pt. Premium Matte Cover.
- Matte is a flat, low-sheen finish; aqueous is a water-based coating. Test pens on aqueous surfaces before using them for notes.
- A UV-coated surface cannot be written or printed on reliably. With gloss cover, keep UV off a blank or grayscale reverse.
- Avoid large areas of heavy dark ink on uncoated card to reduce offsetting.
All of our paper stocks are premium quality and printed in full color.

- Bleed:
- Extend backgrounds 0.125 inches beyond every trim edge. A 4" x 6" card needs a 4.25" x 6.25" file including bleed. Keep important details at least 0.125 inches inside the trim.
- Safe Zone:
- Keep text, logos and other essential details at least 0.125" inside each trim edge. Bleed is outside the finished card; the safe zone is inside it.
- Resolution:
- Prepare images at 350 dpi at final size.
- Color Mode:
- Prepare artwork in CMYK. Screen colors can differ from printed colors.
- File Formats:
- PDF, PNG, JPG or TIFF. A print-ready PDF is preferred. Embed or outline fonts in PDFs and flatten transparency and layers before export.
- Printed Sides:
- Supply one page per printed side, front first and back second. Use the same orientation for both pages and check which edge is the top on the reverse.
- Specialty Print Setup:
- For raised UV or foil, provide a separate mask the same size and orientation as the color artwork. Show only accent elements in solid black. Keep all raised details inside the trim edge; do not extend accents into bleed.
- Proof Review:
- Upload artwork after you order. Review the digital proof for spelling, orientation, trim, bleed and the correct front and back before approving printing. File corrections can affect the production schedule.
- Maximum Upload Size:
- 75 MB per artwork file.
- Proof Options:
- Select an instant online proof or a manually reviewed PDF proof. Review all text, orientation, bleed and front/back placement before approving. Manual review checks file setup; corrections can affect production timing.
- Processing and Order Status:
- Your price includes processing one artwork set and preparing a proof. Follow your order in your account and approve the proof before printing.
Use the finished dimensions of your selected postcard when creating the document. If you plan to mail it, confirm address placement and postal requirements before submitting the artwork.
