- More Info:
- Use a postcard magnet to introduce a business or announce an event. Keep your main message and contact details easy to find.
- Choose a square, landscape or portrait layout to suit the information. A 4" x 4", 4" x 6" or 5" x 7" format gives you different amounts of space.
- Larger magnets have room for service lists, menu items, calendars, sports schedules and discount offers. Use clear headings and leave space between items.
- Mark personal occasions with wedding save-the-dates, wedding or party invitations, and baby announcements. Make the date, location and response details easy to read.
- Restaurants can share menus, home service businesses can share booking details, and real estate professionals can keep contact information visible indoors.
- For a mail campaign, plan packaging, postage and mailing separately. Check the finished piece against your intended mailing requirements.
- Use the magnet indoors on a surface that attracts magnets. It can be lifted away and repositioned without an adhesive backing.
- Bleed:
- Extend backgrounds 0.125 in beyond the trim edge on every side. A 4" x 6" rectangle needs a 4.25" x 6.25" file including bleed.
- Safe Zone:
- Keep text, logos, dates and contact details at least 0.125 in inside the cut outline. For circles, ovals, leaves, half circles and rounded corners, measure from the actual curved edge rather than the rectangular file boundary.
- Resolution:
- Use images at 300 dpi at the finished print size.
- Color Mode:
- Prepare artwork in CMYK. Colors on a screen may differ from the printed magnet.
- File Formats:
- Send a print-ready PDF, PNG, JPG or TIFF. Embed or outline fonts in PDFs and flatten image layers before export.
- Shape and Orientation:
- Prepare one front design for the selected size, shape and orientation. Extend backgrounds past the entire cut outline and keep cutting guides out of the printed artwork. No back artwork is needed.
- Proof Review:
- Review the digital proof for spelling, dates, contact details, orientation and placement near the cut edge before approving it. Incorrect file dimensions or missing artwork may require a revision.
See Templates for the available shape and size combinations. Use File Setup for our bleed, safe zone, resolution, color and export requirements.

Choose the shape, finished size and horizontal or vertical orientation before building your artwork. A rectangular file boundary does not show the cut edge of a curved shape.
Export a flattened JPG if you need a smaller image file, or use PDF, PNG or TIFF. Keep images at 300 dpi at final size and include 0.125 in bleed. Embed or outline PDF fonts. See File Setup for safe zone and CMYK guidance.
The size guide lists finished dimensions, without bleed. For help laying out a curved cut edge, contact our design team with your selected shape and size.
