PVC
- White matte printing surface
- 3 mm or 6 mm thickness
- Full-color printing on one or both sides

Polystyrene
- White opaque semi-gloss surface
- Flexible 1.5 mm board
- Full-color printing on one or both sides
- Bleed:
- Extend backgrounds 0.125" beyond each cut edge. An 18" x 24" sign needs an 18.25" x 24.25" artwork file including bleed.
- Safe Zone:
- Keep lettering and logos at least 0.125" inside the cut edge. Allow extra clearance for rounded corners, shaped edges and mounting holes.
- Resolution:
- Use 300 dpi at the final printed size.
- Color Mode:
- Prepare artwork in CMYK. Screen colors can differ from printed colors.
- File Formats:
- Print-ready PDF preferred; PNG, JPG and TIFF are also accepted. Flatten image layers and embed or outline PDF fonts.
- File Size:
- Check the current limit in the upload window. Contact our team if full-size artwork is too large to upload.
- Printed Sides:
- Provide one artwork page for each printed side. Match front and back orientation to the horizontal or vertical layout selected.
- Shapes and Hole Drilling:
- Confirm the cut outline and hole positions for your chosen shape and size before finishing the artwork. Keep cut guides and hole marks out of the printed design. These are flat boards; no folding setup is needed.
- Proof Review:
- Check spelling, images, cropping, orientation, shaped edges and hole clearance on your digital proof before approving production. File corrections can affect the schedule.
- Rectangle and Square Layouts:
- Use a size offered in the order menu. Add 0.25" to the overall width and height for bleed; 8.5" x 11" becomes 8.75" x 11.25".
- Vertical and Horizontal Layouts:
- Swap width and height to change orientation. Match the front and back layouts before exporting your files.
- Rounded Rectangle and Square Layouts:
- Allow the same bleed as a rectangular layout, but keep text clear of the curved corners. Confirm the corner outline with our team.
- Shaped Layouts:
- Circle, Oval, Octagon, Star, Arrow, House, Apartment, Half Circle and Half Arch layouts need the correct cut outline. Ask our team to confirm the outline and available size before designing.
- Preparing Files:
- Use 300 dpi CMYK artwork in PDF, PNG, JPG or TIFF format. Flatten image layers, embed or outline fonts in PDFs, and extend backgrounds to the bleed edge.
Contact our team for layout guidance for your selected dimensions and shape. Confirm the cutting outline and review the proof before approving production.
