- More Info:
- Use cardboard signs indoors for retail displays, presentations, meetings, trade shows and events. Keep them dry and protected from moisture.
- Choose 1/4" or 1/2" thickness and a white or kraft core. The core color is visible at the cut edge; the print surface stays white.
- Plan the hanging method before laying out your artwork. Keep lettering and logos clear of the planned hole locations and confirm placement with our team.
- Check accessory suitability for your chosen size, shape and display surface before ordering. Confirm the hardware load rating before hanging the sign.
- Select front-only printing for a wall display, or print both sides for a sign viewed from either direction.
- Bleed:
- Extend backgrounds 0.125" beyond every trim edge. An 18" x 24" sign needs an 18.25" x 24.25" file including bleed.
- Safe Zone:
- Keep text and logos at least 0.125" inside the cut edge, including curves and shaped edges. Leave additional clearance around mounting holes.
- Resolution:
- Use 300 dpi at the final printed size.
- Color Mode:
- Prepare artwork in CMYK. Printed colors may differ from your screen.
- File Formats:
- Print-ready PDF preferred; PNG, JPG and TIFF are also accepted. Flatten image layers and embed or outline fonts in PDFs.
- File Size:
- Check the current upload limit in the upload window. Contact our team if your full-size artwork is too large to upload.
- Printed Sides:
- Supply one artwork page per printed side. Match the front and back orientation to the selected horizontal or vertical layout.
- Shaped Signs and Holes:
- Confirm the cutting outline for half arches, half circles, rounded shapes and other silhouettes before finalizing artwork. Keep guides and hole marks out of the printable artwork. Confirm hole positions with our team; do not assume a standard offset or diameter.
- Proof Review:
- Review the digital proof for spelling, cropping, orientation, cut edges and hole clearance before approval. File corrections may affect the production schedule.
Upload finished artwork or ask our team for design help. Confirm artwork requirements before preparing a shaped sign or a two-sided hanging display.
- Rectangle and Square:
- Start with your selected trim size and add 0.25" to each overall dimension for bleed. For example, 9" x 24" becomes 9.25" x 24.25", and 23" x 23" becomes 23.25" x 23.25".
- Vertical and Horizontal:
- Swap width and height for the other orientation. Square signs use equal dimensions. Check front and back orientation together.
- Rounded Rectangle and Square:
- Use the selected size and bleed, keeping important content clear of the curved corners. Confirm the corner outline before completing your design.
- Shapes:
- For Circle, Oval, Octagon, Star, Arrow, House, Apartment, Half Circle and Half Arch signs, contact our team to confirm the cutting outline for your selected size. Keep important artwork inside the silhouette.
- Preparing Artwork:
- Flatten image layers, embed or outline PDF fonts, and use 300 dpi CMYK artwork. PDF, PNG, JPG and TIFF are accepted.
Contact our team for layout guidance for the size and shape in your order. Review the cutting outline and artwork proof before approving production.
