- Bleed:
- Extend backgrounds 0.125" beyond each trimmed edge. For an 8.5" x 11" page, the artwork including bleed is 8.75" x 11.25".
- Safe zone:
- Keep dates, text and logos at least 0.125" inside the trim. Leave extra space beside the center fold so staples and folding do not obscure them.
- Resolution:
- Use images at 350 dpi or higher at the final printed size.
- Color Mode:
- Prepare artwork in CMYK and review any color conversions before exporting.
- File Formats:
- PDF, PNG, JPG and TIFF. For the complete calendar, supply one print-ready PDF with all pages in reading order.
- Page order and binding:
- Supply individual pages, not imposed printer spreads. Include all four cover surfaces and blank pages in your selected total of 12, 16, 20, 24, 28 or 32 pages. Match every page to the chosen closed size and check orientation as the calendar opens.
- Hanging clearance:
- Keep important artwork away from any intended hanging position. Optional 1/8-inch hole drilling makes wall hanging easier. Leave clearance around the hole and confirm its position before finalizing the design.
- Fonts and layers:
- Embed fonts or convert them to outlines. Flatten layered artwork in the print file and keep an editable original separately.
- Manual PDF proof:
- We check the file specifications and contact you if corrections are needed. Review the proof link and approve every date, image and page before printing. Allow extra review time around holidays; contact us for the current proof schedule.
- Hard-copy color proof:
- A high-resolution printed color proof is available for an additional charge. It is supplied on large proofing paper, rolled and sent by expedited shipping, rather than as a finished calendar sample. Review, sign and return your approval before production; ask us to arrange this service.
- Proof allowance and order status:
- Pricing includes processing one uploaded file set and preparing one proof. Track progress in your account. If you need to send files on a CD or flash drive, contact us for delivery instructions first; proof preparation starts after receipt.
- Artwork and proof:
- Upload the complete page PDF after checkout. Review every date, image, page and cover in the digital proof; printing begins after your approval. File corrections can affect the schedule.

Gloss makes colors brighter; matte and uncoated sheets have a softer look. Aqueous is a glossy coating and is not guaranteed writable. High Gloss UV adds shine and protection; do not write or overprint on UV-coated surfaces. Uncoated sheets are writable.
Heavy dark ink coverage on uncoated paper can transfer to the facing page. Use lighter coverage where possible. C2S means gloss coated on both sides.
