- Finished size:
- Build your poster at the selected trim size, in horizontal or vertical orientation.
- Bleed:
- Extend backgrounds 0.125 in beyond every trim edge. Add 0.25 in to the finished width and height; an 11 x 17 in poster needs an 11.25 x 17.25 in file including bleed.
- Safe zone:
- Keep text, logos and other essential details at least 0.125 in inside the trim edge.
- Resolution:
- Use 300 dpi at the final printed size. Enlarging a small image can make it appear soft.
- Colour mode:
- Prepare artwork in CMYK for print.
- File formats:
- Print-ready PDF preferred; PNG, JPG and TIFF are also accepted.
- Fonts:
- Embed fonts in your PDF or convert them to outlines.
- Printed sides:
- Provide one page for front-only printing or two pages for front-and-back printing. Keep both pages at the same size and indicate the intended orientation.
- Finishing:
- These are flat rectangular posters. Folding, hole drilling and die-cut shapes are not selectable options.
Check small text, dates and any QR codes at the final size before sending your file. Review your proof before approving it for print.
