- Paper appearance:
- Kraft supplies a brown background; pearl adds shimmer. The paper color and surface affect the appearance of your printed design. Kraft and pearl stocks can vary slightly in shade and thickness.
- Proofs:
- A digital proof for every order. Nothing prints until you approve it.
- Delivery:
- Local pickup or shipping. Rates and any sales tax are calculated at checkout.
- More Info:
- Choose gloss for shine, uncoated for a natural paper feel or matte for a subdued surface. Layered stocks add a colored edge.
- Linen adds texture, pearl adds shimmer and kraft gives artwork a brown background.
- For handwritten messages, consider uncoated paper and test your pen before writing on the full batch. Gloss surfaces are less suited to writing.
- Gloss can make colors appear stronger; matte and uncoated surfaces give a softer appearance. Check dark, heavily inked artwork carefully on uncoated stock.
- Cover stock is card stock; book or text stock describes lighter paper. Point measurements describe thickness, while pounds describe paper weight.
- Choose from the quantities in the order form. Confirm your size, stock, printed sides and quantity before submitting artwork.
- Use raised foil or raised UV on 16 pt. Premium Matte for dimensional highlights.
- High Gloss UV protects the surface and adds shine. Choose front-only UV on 14 pt. Gloss when you want a less glossy reverse; that reverse remains semi-gloss, and front and back colors or brightness can differ. For writing, uncoated is the safer choice.
- Aqueous means a gloss coating; writing on it is not assured. Matte describes a flat, low-sheen finish. C2S means both faces are gloss coated.
- Avoid heavy, dark ink coverage on uncoated stock because ink can transfer onto adjacent pieces.
- Rounded corners are unavailable on 38 pt. Trifecta stocks in the 1.5 x 7 and 2 x 8 inch formats. Choose a different size or stock for rounded corners.

- Finished size and orientation:
- Use the exact size selected above, in horizontal or vertical orientation. Keep the front and back aligned to the same orientation.
- Bleed:
- Allow 0.1 inch total bleed: extend backgrounds 0.05 inch past each trim edge. A 1.5 x 7 inch bookmark needs a 1.6 x 7.1 inch file.
- Safe zone:
- Keep text, logos, borders and essential photo details at least 0.125 inch inside the trim. Narrow borders can show small cutting variations.
- Resolution:
- Use images at 350 dpi or higher at finished size.
- Color mode:
- Prepare artwork in CMYK. Screen colors can differ from printed colors, especially on kraft or pearl stock.
- File formats:
- Send a print-ready PDF, PNG, JPG or TIFF. Embed or outline fonts in PDFs and flatten artwork layers before export. Supply one page or file per printed side.
- Bookmark finishing:
- Match the selected square or rounded corners. Keep raised UV and foil accents inside the trim and supply a separate solid-black mask aligned with your color artwork. Use vector shapes for clean accent edges; keep gradients and shadows out of the mask.
- Proof review:
- Check spelling, trim, safe zone, front and back orientation, and image quality on your digital proof. Approve the proof before printing; contact us about corrections or deadlines.
- Proof choices:
- Review and approve your instant proof yourself, or choose manual PDF review so our team can check file specifications and contact you about problems. Printing includes processing one set of uploaded artwork and one proof. Incorrect files can delay production.
- Order status:
- Sign in to My Account to review your order status at any time. Production begins after artwork approval and payment.
- Turnaround:
- Choose regular or rush service. Confirm current timing with our team; production follows artwork approval and payment, and shipping is separate.
Upload the final artwork for each printed side. Incorrect dimensions or missing bleed may require a revised file. Ask our design team if you need help preparing a narrow bookmark layout.

- Vertical and horizontal artwork:
- Use the selected dimensions vertically, or swap width and height for a horizontal design. Add 0.1 inch to each file dimension for total bleed.
- Finished size:
- Set your layout to the bookmark size selected above.
- Bleed:
- Allow 0.1 inch total bleed: extend backgrounds 0.05 inch past each trim edge. A 1.5 x 7 inch bookmark needs a 1.6 x 7.1 inch file.
- Safe area:
- Keep text and important graphics at least 0.125 inch inside the trim.
- Rounded corner layouts:
- Use the same finished dimensions and bleed as your selected size. Keep important content clear of the quarter-inch corner arcs.
For a 1.5 x 7 inch bookmark, prepare a 1.6 x 7.1 inch file including bleed. Contact our design team if you need help setting up a layout for another size.

Choose rounded corners for a softer silhouette with a 0.25 inch corner radius. Availability depends on size and stock. The 38 pt. Trifecta papers do not offer rounded corners at 1.5 x 7 or 2 x 8 inches.
