- More Info:
- Cards arrive flat with a score for the half fold; fold them before use. Envelopes are a separate purchase.
- Gloss makes cover colors vivid. Uncoated has a natural surface, while matte gives artwork a softer look.
- High Gloss UV adds shine and helps protect the surface from damage. UV-coated areas cannot be written on or overprinted.
- For handwriting inside, choose 14 pt. Uncoated or 14 pt. Gloss with High Gloss UV Front Only.
- On 14 pt. Gloss, UV covers the color-printed sides unless Front Only is selected. A blank inside does not receive UV. Front-only coating can make the inside and outside differ in brightness and color.
- Raised UV and Raised Foil are available on 16 pt. Premium Matte. Choose gold, silver or rose gold foil and keep raised artwork clear of the cut edge.
- Available quantities can vary with the paper and finish. Check the selected configuration before placing an order.
- 100 lb. Gloss Cover receives aqueous coating at quantities of 250 or more. Runs of 100 or fewer are digitally printed without coating.
- Cover means thicker card stock; book or text means lighter paper. High Gloss UV is a shiny protective coating, aqueous has a gloss surface, and matte has a flat appearance. C2S means coated on both sides.
- Do not write or overprint UV-coated areas. Writing on aqueous coating is not assured; test a sample. Avoid dense dark ink on uncoated stock, where ink can transfer to the next sheet. Gloss makes colors brighter; matte and uncoated soften their appearance.
All of our paper stocks are premium quality and printed in full color.

- Bleed:
- Extend backgrounds at least 0.1" beyond all outer trim edges (0.125" is also suitable). Do not add bleed between panels at the center fold.
- Resolution:
- Use 350 dpi images at the full open print size.
- Color mode:
- Prepare color artwork in CMYK. Choose blank, grayscale or full-color inside printing to match your files.
- File formats:
- Upload PDF, PNG, JPG, TIF or TIFF. For EPS, AI, PSD, BMP or GIF source files, export a flattened file in a supported upload format or ask our design team for preparation help. Embed or outline PDF fonts.
- Upload size:
- The upload control shows the current file-size limit. Compress a large file or send a download link through Contact us if it exceeds that limit.
- Specialty prints:
- For Raised UV or Raised Foil on 16 pt. Premium Matte, supply a separate black-only mask aligned to the color layout. Keep raised areas inside the trim and away from the fold; do not extend raised effects to the cut edge. Ask our design team to check your mask before approval.
- Safe zone:
- Keep text and logos at least 0.125" inside the outer trim and at least 0.125" away from the fold on both panels.
- Open size and fold:
- Build each printed side as a complete open spread with a centered half fold. A vertical 5" × 7" card uses a 10" wide × 7" high spread; a horizontal 7" × 5" card uses a 7" wide × 10" high spread, before bleed.
- Panel direction:
- Supply an outside spread containing the front and back covers, plus a separate inside spread when printing inside. Fold a paper mockup to check that all panels face the right way.
- Proof review:
- A manually reviewed PDF proof lets you check spelling, panel order, orientation and the fold before approval. Processing one uploaded file set and one proof is included. Sign in to your account to follow your order status. Incorrect files and holiday demand may affect timing; ask our team for the current schedule.
Use the Sizes table in Product Details to find the open trim dimensions. Add bleed after arranging the panels. Match the file to the selected orientation rather than rotating individual panels by guesswork.
- Size and orientation:
- The Product Details size table lists all thirteen folded and open sizes. Use the open trim dimensions for either orientation, arranging width and height for the direction of the fold.
- Artwork preparation:
- Add 0.125" outer bleed and mark a safe area at least 0.125" inside trim and away from the center fold. Use 350 dpi CMYK artwork in PDF, PNG, JPG or TIFF; embed PDF fonts and flatten image layers.
- Design examples:
- The occasion and holiday galleries show style examples for custom design help. Downloadable size templates and an online template editor are not available for this product. Share your photos, logo and wording with our design team if you need a layout. Flatten layers before exporting; JPG can help reduce file size.
- Folded size:
- The selected size describes the closed card. Build the artwork at the full open size, with the fold centered.
- Open layout:
- A vertical 5" x 7" card opens to a 10" wide x 7" high spread. A horizontal 7" x 5" card opens to a 7" wide x 10" high spread. Check the panel direction for your chosen orientation.
- Outside and inside:
- Prepare separate spreads for the outside and any printed inside. Check which outside panel becomes the front cover by folding a paper mockup.
- Bleed and safe area:
- Extend backgrounds 0.125" beyond the outer trim edges. Keep text and logos at least 0.125" inside the trim and clear of the center fold.
- Images and fonts:
- Use images at 350 dpi at their final size, prepare color artwork in CMYK and embed or outline fonts in your PDF.
- Envelopes:
- Envelopes are purchased separately. Check the envelope's inside dimensions against the closed card and allow room for insertion.
Review spelling, orientation, panel order and inside printing in your digital proof before approving the card for print. For a vertical card, place the back cover on the left and front cover on the right of the outside spread. For a horizontal card, check the top and bottom panels with a folded paper mockup so the inside reads upright.
