- Choose landscape or portrait for a rectangular image; the 12-inch square size has equal sides.
- Check the crop at the selected print size so faces, text and other important details stay clear of the edges.
- Bleed:
- Extend backgrounds and photos 0.125" beyond every trim edge. An 8" x 10" print needs an 8.25" x 10.25" file including bleed.
- Safe zone:
- Keep text, logos, faces and other essential details at least 0.125" inside the trim line.
- Resolution:
- Supply images at 300 dpi at the finished print size. Use the original photograph rather than an enlarged thumbnail.
- Color mode:
- Prepare artwork in CMYK. Screen colors can differ from the finished metal print.
- File formats:
- Print-ready PDF preferred; PNG, JPG and TIFF are also accepted. Flatten image layers and embed or outline fonts in PDFs.
- Upload size:
- The standard artwork upload limit is 50 MiB per file; follow the limit displayed by the uploader.
- Panel layout:
- Supply one front image sized for your chosen orientation. The rectangular edge is the only edge design in our catalog. Keep mounting and cutting guides out of the printable file.
- Digital proof:
- Review the crop, orientation, spelling and image quality before approving your proof. Nothing prints until you approve it.
- Artwork corrections:
- Files that need corrections can affect your schedule. Contact our team to confirm proof and production timing for your order.
- 8" x 10":
- Portrait or landscape; file size with bleed: 8.25" x 10.25", or the reverse.
- 11" x 14":
- Portrait or landscape; file size with bleed: 11.25" x 14.25", or the reverse.
- 12" x 12":
- Square; file size with bleed: 12.25" x 12.25".
- 16" x 20":
- Portrait or landscape; file size with bleed: 16.25" x 20.25", or the reverse.
- 20" x 30":
- Portrait or landscape; file size with bleed: 20.25" x 30.25", or the reverse.
- 24" x 36":
- Portrait or landscape; file size with bleed: 24.25" x 36.25", or the reverse.
