- For drilled boards, confirm hole diameter and placement before positioning text or attaching hardware. Keep important artwork clear of every mounting point.
- Check the selected size and shape against your mounting method before adding accessories.
- Confirm the mounting strips' load rating and surface requirements before installation; allow for the board's weight and outdoor exposure.
- Bleed:
- Extend backgrounds 0.125" beyond the finished cut on every edge.
- Safe Zone:
- Keep text and logos at least 0.125" inside the cut line, including curved edges and the points of stars or arrows.
- Resolution:
- Prepare images at 300 dpi at the final printed size.
- Color Mode:
- Use CMYK color for print artwork.
- File Formats:
- Print-ready PDF preferred; PNG, JPG and TIFF are also accepted. Flatten image layers and embed or outline fonts.
- Printed Sides:
- Supply one page per printed side. Label front and back clearly and check their orientation.
- Shaped Boards:
- Build the layout for your selected shape and size. Keep cut lines separate from printed artwork; ask our team to confirm the outline before submitting a shaped design.
- Hole Drilling:
- Leave clear space around every selected drilling location. Ask our team to confirm hole positions and clearance before finalizing the design.
- Proof Review:
- Review the digital proof for spelling, image quality, trim, shape, hole clearance and front-to-back orientation. Approve it before printing begins.
Check the file requirements before upload. Artwork corrections and proof approval can affect the production schedule; ask our team for help if your file is not ready.
- Rectangle and Square Layouts:
- Choose the finished size from the order form and set the artwork orientation to horizontal or vertical as needed. Square boards use equal width and height.
- Rounded Rectangle and Rounded Square Layouts:
- Keep text and logos away from curved corners. Confirm the rounded cut outline with our team.
- Shape Layouts:
- Circle, Oval, Octagon, Star, Arrow, House, Apartment, Half Circle and Half Arch layouts must follow the chosen outline. Ask our team to confirm the cut shape and dimensions.
